No sat signal followed by boot loop on firmware reflash

    Hi all,

My dads TM Nano OE's power supply failed so we bought one the same as on another OE that had a failed supply. The box booted up fine but the channel list was empty, so as you'd imagine tried running ABM which failed to find anything then tried auto and manual searches all of which also bought no channels. Satfinder in the menus was showing no signal when trying various 28.2 transponders.
There was a possibility of an issue with the dish or leads/connectors but seemed a bit coincedental that these would go the same time as the PSU.

I tried various things but though best to rule out a software issue so (in the end) downloaded several different firmwares from OpenPLI OpenATV and OpenVIX but all exhibit the same bootloop type issue. All seems to flash ok but the the Splash screen for that firmware comes up for 2 seconds then goes blank, then the splash screen again for 2 seconds and repeats.
Is there a chance this is just down to the USB stick ? - i've tried the original one i left plugged into the receiver which had worked previously, and another 2 i had at home but all the same results.

Also then if i do get it to boot is there a chance that after all that the tuner has been fried anyway ? hence no signal previously ?
Also the fan doesn;t run at all, not sure if it ever has and is just there for those with HDD's but tried the Fan Control in menu and even ramping it right up didn't get it to move at all.

I'll be very grateful of any help as he's been without it for a few days now so hoping to get it sorted as soon as pos.
    Thanks.

I've managed to get past the boot loop by using an old backup to update to so not sure if there's a kernel issue or summet with newer releases? I did get a problem where the screen would blank for a second on any button press on the remote control but running a scan and few other things it seems to have cured itself.
However even connected to my dish with a known working signal it still gets nothing so i'm gonna assume that the tuner has indded been fried ... or just died of natural causes .... so only question now is if you guys can recommend a replacement box thats cheap enough to get him back going with minimal outlay, a simple linux box with 1 tuner will be enough as long as its fairly stable and can run auto bouquets to make as simple as poss and handle a cline. have seen various TM's around £80 and other similar ones for about the same, Edision? but if there is anything cheaper than that it'd be preferable.

    Cheers.
